Putting
pencil to paper is not the first design choice. Before that, the artist
must consider the goal of the artwork, and choose the media that will
best satisfy that intent.
With creation, there is discovery. That which is learned during the process, influences the process, changing how this artwork was created, and influences all that follows. Whether the most austere single stroke of a pen on white paper, or the most detailed montage of digital elements, there is discovery of the hand of the artist, and the guidance of design decisions. |
